Dignity Day

Mobile Showers
Bag Lunch
Health Check
Free Hair Cuts
Free Clothes
Mental Health Services
Spiritual Care
Housing Help

Dignity Day was born as a vision given to Dr. Hester from God.  The first event in March 2021 started as an opportunity to feed the homeless in Vallejo but quickly developed into an opportunity for Solano County homeless service providers to come together in one location and dignify our homeless by providing free showers (mobile), haircuts, new clothes and shoes, a meal, housing assistance, medical and mental health services, and spiritual care.

We anticipated servicing between 50 - 75 people.  We had over 80 from our homeless community attend.  We vaccinated over 60 people with the Covid-19 vaccine.  In short, it was an “overwhelming success” and a blessing to our homeless community.

On April 13, 2024, we hosted our last Dignity Day and it was a wonderful success! We had 55 of our community homeless show up and be blessed by all of the services available, the new clothes and shoes, the lunch, and all the warmth and love generated by each of you!  It was amazing to see the transformation in people once they showered and put on the new clothes!  It was truly a blessed day.

We plan to schedule our next Dignity Day for September 14, 2024, weather permitting.  We hope to have you all back with us again.
